Hi basketball family!
Welcome back to what we hope will be a normal Return-To-Play! I would like to summarize all the details for this season so please read this in full.
Registration will open June 17, 2021, and close on August 15, 2021. EYBA is expecting play to begin at the end of September with regular games, reseeding divisions every round, and playoffs in February and March. We are hopeful, but nothing is confirmed yet. Therefore, we will not be charging fees until we have the green light from EYBA. Once your child is on a team, we will add the fees to your RAMP account. We also do not know if teams will be limited again this season. We will open registration for everyone, but that does not guarantee your child will be on a team. That decision will be made on a first-come-first-serve basis, but hopefully we will see everyone playing! If you’re interested in coaching, you can also register on RAMP.
Tryout/Evaluation Nights will tentatively be from August 30-September 4. This is dependent on how much time we can get at the Beaumont Recreation Center and how many kids are able to play.
Fundraiser: We are very excited about our fundraising opportunity this year! Thanks to COVID, we had to cancel the WEM Waterpark fundraiser. This year, we are doing a raffle! The prizes are as follows: 1st prize: $4500 value of a trip for 4 to Toronto with 3 nights hotel and Toronto Raptors tickets! 2nd prize: One free player registration for 2021/2022 season up to $420 value! 3rd prize: One pair of BYBA shorts and socks combo! The draw will take place November 30, 2021 **IMPORTANT** $100 will be paid when you register your child. Then, we will set up a time for you to pick up a book of 10 tickets for you to sell. You can manage this however you choose. If you sell all 10 tickets at $10 each, you have made your money back. There will be extras if you’d love to sell more! We will collect the stubs back and have a fun draw! These proceeds will go towards new equipment and jerseys for the association!
